Bladder Cancer Awareness Month 2026: there’s still time to get involved!
Throughout May, communities worldwide have been actively raising awareness about bladder cancer. Through social media initiatives, local events, and walks, and the Unsure Icon, organisations have helped guide those affected by bladder cancer to resources and support.
This May also marks the final year of our three year global awareness campaign, “Feeling Unsure? Get Checked.” Over these three years, the campaign has urged individuals not to dismiss symptoms or wait for them to escalate, as early detection can truly make a significant impact. As we enter the final week of Bladder Cancer Awareness Month 2026, there is still time to get involved.
This year’s campaign materials are available in 31 languages, making it our most accessible initiative yet. Resources include:
- Social media visuals
- Promotional videos
- Giffs
- Posters
- Messaging guidance
These materials empower organisations, healthcare professionals, and advocates to engage in meaningful conversations about bladder cancer symptoms within their communities.
How can you still get involved?
- Share and repost campaign materials on social media and within your community by using ready to use visuals, videos, posters and messaging to promote the campaign
- Start conversations about bladder cancersymptoms with friends, family, colleagues, patients, and local communities. Speaking openly about signs such as blood in the urine can encourage others to seek medical advice sooner.
- Play Spot the Drop, our interactive awareness game, available in 16 languages. Test your reflexes, challenge friends and colleagues, and help share the message that blood in the urine should never be ignored.
- Join the #GetChecked Challenge by sharing campaign messages, resources, videos, photos, or personal stories on social media. Be part of the global conversation using hastags like #BladderCancerMonth26, #GetChecked, #UnsureStories, and #SpotTheDrop
If you need support adapting or translating materials into your local language, our team is here and ready to help.
A heartfelt thank you.
To every organisation, advocate, healthcare professional, patient, survivor, and carer who has taken part in Bladder Cancer Awareness Month 2026: thank you. Whether you shared a post, hosted an event, played Spot the Drop, or simply told one person to get checked, you have been part of something that matters. Three years of “Feeling Unsure? Get Checked.” has been built on exactly this kind of collective commitment, and we are proud to stand alongside each and every one of you.
