Now available in Spanish: Start-up guide for bladder cancer groups

Today, we are thrilled to launch our Spanish version of the Start-up guide for bladder cancer patient groups, which is an important step in our outreach and community plans for Latin America.

Bladder cancer patient groups across the globe, small and large, have an important role to play in improve the situation for patients and their families. It is our vision to see a bladder cancer patient group in every country, and today we are proud to launch our Know the basis: A start-up guide for bladder cancer patient groups in Spanish.

The launch of the guide marks our first step towards fostering a community of people affected by bladder cancer in Latin America. There are so many things to consider when establishing a bladder cancer patient group, and it can be difficult to know where to start. Recognising this, this guide is there for anyone with ambitions to start a bladder cancer patient group in their country.

WBCPC members have considered their own experiences in starting bladder cancer groups, and have combined their collective knowledge in this guide.

The start-up guide aims to:

  • Promote the establishment of bladder cancer patient groups in different countries;
  • Provide pre-made resources and share best-practice examples for getting started;
  • Inform, support and create unity among bladder cancer patient groups;
  • Grow the global community of bladder cancer patient groups.

This resource is now available in English and Spanish, and we will continue translations and adaptations of the guide to more regions and countries across the world.

WBCPC sincerely hopes that this resource will benefit many, and that it helps encourage others to create and grow bladder cancer patient organisations that support people affected by bladder cancer.
