Printable BCG treatment and cystoscopy schedule now available
We have just launched a new printable schedule to help you keep track of your BCG treatment for bladder cancer, all on two simple pages. It gives you and your care team one clear place to note every session and every check-up, so nothing slips through the cracks. Print it, keep it handy, and bring it to each appointment. That is all there is to it.
Here is why it helps. BCG treatment comes with a lot of dates to remember: sessions, breaks, check-ups, then more sessions. It can stretch across months, sometimes years, and holding it all in your head is exhausting on top of everything else you are managing. Writing it all down in one place means fewer things to worry about, easier conversations with your nurse or doctor, and a clearer picture of where you are on your journey. Many people find that simply seeing the plan laid out makes the whole process feel a little more within their control.
BCG (Bacillus Calmette-Guérin) is one of the most common treatments for non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). It works in phases, with a first course of sessions followed by ongoing treatments and regular cystoscopy check-ups (a quick look inside the bladder). Because it is spread out over such a long time, it is easy to lose track of what comes next, and that is exactly where this schedule steps in.
Every treatment plan is personal, and your care team may adjust yours along the way. The schedule is there to support those conversations, not replace them, so the plan your doctor gives you always comes first.
The schedule is part of our “Understanding BCG treatment” factsheet, and it is ready for you to use today. Download it and explore all our patient factsheets, available in several languages, on our factsheets page. Would you like this resource in your own language?
