Bladder Cancer Awareness Month 2026 Toolkit now available

Bladder Cancer Awareness Month 2026 (BCAM26) is approaching, and we are pleased to share this year’s campaign toolkit.

This May marks the final year of our global Feeling Unsure? Get Checked campaign. Over the past three years, this initiative has focused on one key message: when something feels unusual, especially blood in the urine, it is important to seek medical advice without delay. This final year builds on that momentum, aiming to reach even more people worldwide.

The Unsure Icon remains at the centre of the campaign, representing the uncertainty many people experience before seeking help. It continues to serve as a clear and recognisable visual to encourage earlier action and conversations around symptoms.

Returning this year is also Spot the Drop, the interactive reaction-speed game designed to highlight the importance of acting quickly when noticing changes. Since its launch, more than 90,000 people worldwide have played the game, helping to raise awareness in an engaging and accessible way.

New for BCAM26, the campaign introduces additional initiatives to further amplify the message:

  • #UnsureStories – sharing real moments of uncertainty from patients, carers and healthcare professionals to help others recognise symptoms and act earlier
  • #GetChecked Challenge – encouraging individuals to complete the sentence “If you’re feeling unsure…” and invite others to continue the chain, helping spread awareness through personal messages

This year’s toolkit provides a wide range of ready-to-use materials to support awareness activities, including:

  • Social media visuals and templates
  • Videos and animations
  • Printable posters for events and clinics
  • Messaging guidance for the Feeling Unsure? Get Checked campaign
  • Content to support #UnsureStories and the #GetChecked Challenge
  • Information on the Spot the Drop interactive game
  • And more……

All campaign materials, including visuals, captions, and templates, are available through our Padlet page for easy download and sharing.

Whether you have just a minute or more time to contribute, there are many simple ways to get involved, from sharing a post to hosting local activities or contributing your own story. Every action helps raise awareness and encourage earlier diagnosis.

The campaign toolkit is available in English and Spanish, with additional materials accessible in multiple languages to support global engagement.
