NEOVIDA’s mission is to provide essential support to bladder cancer patients, particularly those with a neobladder. They aim to improve patients’ quality of life by offering practical assistance, fostering a supportive community, and raising awareness about bladder cancer. Their focus includes providing information, psychological support, and advocacy to help patients and their families navigate their journey with bladder cancer.
The World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition believes that organisations like NEOVIDA play a crucial role in raising local awareness about bladder cancer, advocating for patients’ needs, and offering much-needed peer support and information.
«Welcoming NEOVIDA to our coalition is a special moment as it becomes the first member organisation in the WBCPC home country – Belgium. A volunteer run group that was the first to step up in support of people affected by bladder cancer who have a neobladder. We look forward to a productive partnership of sharing knowledge and capacity building in Belgium and beyond. Alex Filicevas, Executive Director of the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition
We encourage bladder cancer patients, carers, families, and advocates to join together to improve support, information, and care for people affected by bladder cancer in their communities. This is why we have developed the Start-up guide for bladder cancer patient groups – a step-by-step guide and source of direct inspiration from our members for those ready to start a patient support group in their country.
