NEWS Stay informed: September newsletter is out now!
This September edition of the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition newsletter features the latest news from the bladder cancer community around the world. In particular, we focus on:
- The World Bladder Cancer Patient Forum 2023 which will take place in a couple of weeks in Madrid, Spain and will bring the global bladder cancer patient community together for a day full of important discussions, learnings, sharing ideas, networking and empowering each other. If you haven’t yet – register now!
- EU Policy Roundtable which we organised together with the European Association of Urology last September 25, 2023. The event’s focal point was the presentation of the White Paper’s policy recommendations aimed at harnessing legislative opportunities and providing improved support to patients and carers impacted by bladder cancer in Europe.
- The launch of our White Paper which aims to inform the policymakers in Brussels and the Member State capitals to consider an EU agenda with more ambitious policy actions targeting neglected cancers, such as bladder cancer, and close the cancer care gap by supporting awareness and education and ensuring access to high-quality diagnostic tools, care and treatment.
- Urology Week 2023 – which is a European initiative run by the European Association of Urology (EAU) which took place from 24-30 September 2023 and aimed to raise awareness about incontinence challenges and break the taboo around talking about incontinence.
- Global Insights into Bladder Cancer Care – the first episode of video series organised by Urotoday.com and the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition, Dr Ashish Kamat joined Dr Pat Hensley and WBCPC President, Dr Lydia Makaroff to discuss insights into patient experiences and treatment access.
Other topics are featured in this edition, which we invite you to explore here.
If you haven’t yet, make sure to subscribe here to our monthly newsletter. We will keep you updated about the upcoming activities, events, and latest developments from the bladder cancer community.
