“The ‘P’ Word: the challenge of urinary problems in people living with prostate and bladder cancer”
The World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition is organizing a policy discussion entitled: “The ‘P’ Word: the challenge of urinary problems in people living with prostate and bladder cancer” together with the European Cancer Organisation, European Association of Urology, European Association of Urology Nurses – EAUN, World Federation of Incontinence and Pelvic Problems, Eurocarers and Europa Uomo.
This event will be hosted by MEP Sokol and will raise awareness on the important impact that these conditions can have on physical, mental and emotional well-being of cancer patients and also those of their families and carers. The use of continence management products, such as adult incontinence pads, also poses challenges for the environment.
We will be hearing from patient representatives as well as clinicians and policymakers. Furthermore, we will be discussing the challenges, as well as providing recommendations on how European policies and programmes can help find solutions.
The meeting will take place on December 7, 2022, from 17h00-19h00 CET in room ASP 3 E2 in the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium.
