Bladder cancer treatment factsheets now available in Arabic

Our bladder cancer treatment factsheets are now available in Arabic. This brings clear, trusted information to Arabic-speaking patients, survivors and carers around the world.

The factsheets cover two types of bladder cancer:

A bladder cancer diagnosis can be hard to take in, and treatment choices are not always easy to understand. These factsheets explain the essentials simply, so patients and their families know what to expect and can talk through their options with their care team.

  • The MIBC factsheet covers more advanced cancer, where the tumour has grown into the muscle wall of the bladder. It explains treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and bladder-preserving approaches.
  • The NMIBC factsheet covers earlier-stage cancer, where the disease has not reached the muscle. It explains tumour stage and grade, common symptoms, and treatments such as Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumour (TURBT) and intravesical (in-the-bladder) therapies, including Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) and chemotherapy.

Both factsheets also include questions to ask your doctor, guidance on follow-up care, and tips for daily life during and after treatment. Every resource we produce is reviewed by our Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) to make sure it is accurate and evidence-based.
Adding Arabic is part of our commitment to breaking down language barriers. Arabic is spoken by hundreds of millions of people, and information people can actually understand supports earlier action and more confident decisions.

You can explore and share the factsheets on our resource page. For questions about translations or working together, contact us at info@worldbladdercancer.org.
