French versions of bladder cancer treatment factsheets now available
We are pleased to announce that our bladder cancer treatment factsheets are now available in French, further expanding access to trusted, patient-friendly information for French-speaking individuals and communities worldwide.
These resources cover two key areas of bladder cancer:
Navigating a bladder cancer diagnosis and understanding treatment options can be challenging. These factsheets have been designed to present essential information in a clear and structured way, helping patients and carers better understand their condition, the different treatment pathways available, and how to engage in informed discussions with their healthcare team.
The MIBC factsheet focuses on more advanced stages of bladder cancer, where the tumour has grown into the muscle layer of the bladder. It provides an overview of treatment approaches such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and bladder-preserving strategies, as well as what patients may expect at each stage of care.
The NMIBC factsheet addresses earlier-stage bladder cancer, where the disease has not spread into the muscle. It explains key concepts including tumour stage and grade, common symptoms, and treatment options such as transurethral resection (TURBT) and intravesical therapies, including BCG and chemotherapy.
In addition to treatment information, both factsheets offer practical guidance to support patients beyond diagnosis. This includes suggested questions to ask healthcare professionals, information on follow-up care, and considerations for daily life during and after treatment.
All resources developed by the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition are reviewed by our Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) to ensure they are accurate, evidence-based, and aligned with patient needs.
Making these factsheets available in French is part of our ongoing commitment to reducing language barriers and improving access to information. Clear and understandable resources can support earlier engagement, better communication with healthcare professionals, and more confident decision-making.
We will continue working with our global network to expand the availability of our materials in additional languages, supporting more inclusive access to bladder cancer information and care. Visit all our factsheets here.
