Spanish versions of bladder cancer treatment factsheets now available

We are pleased to share that two of our bladder cancer factsheets on treatment are now available in Spanish, expanding access to reliable, patient-friendly information for Spanish-speaking communities worldwide.

These resources focus on:

Understanding bladder cancer and its treatment options can be complex. These factsheets have been developed to provide clear, structured information that helps patients and carers better understand their diagnosis, explore available treatment pathways, and feel more confident when speaking with their healthcare team.

The MIBC factsheet outlines treatment approaches for more advanced stages of bladder cancer, where the disease has spread into the muscle layer of the bladder. It explains key options such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and bladder-preserving approaches, as well as what patients can expect throughout diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.

The NMIBC factsheet focuses on earlier-stage bladder cancer, where the disease has not yet reached the muscle layer. It covers important concepts such as tumour stage and grade, common symptoms, and treatment approaches including transurethral resection (TURBT) and intravesical therapies such as BCG and chemotherapy.

Both factsheets also include practical guidance to support patients beyond treatment, including key questions to ask healthcare professionals, information on follow-up care, and what to expect in daily life after treatment.

All resources developed by the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition are reviewed by our Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) to ensure they are accurate, evidence-based, and relevant to patients’ needs.

By making these factsheets available in Spanish, we aim to reduce language barriers and ensure that more people affected by bladder cancer can access clear and reliable information, wherever they are.

We continue to work with our global network to expand the availability of our resources in multiple languages, supporting more inclusive access to information and care.

Explore the factsheets and share them with your networks to help improve understanding of bladder cancer and support patients worldwide.
