Bladder Cancer Patient Day in France to help patients take control
Cancer Vessie France, a member of WBCPC, has again teamed up with the French Association of Urology (AFU) to raise awareness about bladder cancer in May. Attendees, including patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and researchers, gathered from across France to deepen their understanding of bladder cancer and its impacts.
This year’s Patient Day took place on 2nd May, during Bladder Cancer Awareness Month 2024. The meeting offered comprehensive information tailored to patients, covering bladder cancer causes, treatment options, and individualised care. Oncology experts detailed why treatments are customised and the criteria involved in personalising care. The moderated Q&A session addressed common patient concerns, followed by discussions on research advances and access to clinical trials.
Cancer Vessie France emphasised its role in supporting patients and caregivers living with bladder cancer in France. Meetings like this underscore the importance of uniting all stakeholders in bladder cancer care, aiming to advance patient outcomes and care quality.
