Bladder Cancer Awareness Month 2026: Resources now available in 31 languages
Bladder Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) 2026 is approaching and this year carries particular importance.
It marks the final year of the global “Feeling unsure? Get checked.” campaign, a three-year effort focused on one critical issue: people often hesitate to seek medical advice when they notice potential symptoms, especially blood in the urine.
This hesitation can delay diagnosis and affect outcomes. Yet early detection makes a real difference. Recognising symptoms and acting sooner can lead to more effective treatment and improved survival.
To support awareness activities worldwide, the BCAM 2026 resources are now available, offering a wide range of materials designed to make participation simple, practical, and impactful.
This year represents the most inclusive campaign to date, with resources available in 31 languages. This expansion allows organisations, healthcare professionals, patient advocates, and individuals to reach more people, in more communities, than ever before.
The campaign resources are designed to be flexible and easy to use, whether you are planning a full campaign or simply sharing one message.
What you can find:
- Social media visuals highlighting symptoms, risk factors and key facts
- Ready-to-use messages to support online communication
- Printable posters for clinics, workplaces and community spaces
- Newsletter and website content, ready to adapt and share
- Campaign videos, animations and digital materials
BCAM 2026 also introduces new ways to engage audiences and spark conversations. The #UnsureStories initiative shares real moments of uncertainty before diagnosis, helping others recognise symptoms earlier. The #GetChecked Challenge encourages simple, personal messages to spread awareness across social media. In addition, the Spot the Drop interactive game returns, offering an engaging way to highlight the importance of acting quickly when something feels unusual.
Importantly, taking part does not require significant time or resources. A single post, a shared story, or a short conversation can help someone better understand the signs of bladder cancer and encourage them to seek medical advice.
As the campaign reaches its final year, the focus is on going further together, building on the progress made, and reaching even more people globally.
