Portuguese bladder cancer factsheet launched in partnership with Oncoguia and CABEM Mais Vidas

The World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition is pleased to announce the launch of the Portuguese version of Factsheet 1: “What is Bladder Cancer?” developed in partnership with Instituto Oncoguia and CABEM Mais Vidas. This collaborative effort marks an important step in making clear, reliable information on bladder cancer more accessible to Portuguese-speaking patients, families and healthcare professionals.

This factsheet is designed as a decision-aid tool to support people who are newly diagnosed with bladder cancer. It helps them understand the disease, its main types and the treatment options available, and prepares them to have informed conversations with their treating doctor. We encourage healthcare professionals to download this resource and use it as a supportive tool when speaking with patients and their families.

This collaboration strengthens our shared commitment to improving information and support for people affected by bladder cancer in Brazil and other Portuguese-speaking communities.

In addition to this new factsheet, the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition offers other resources in Portuguese on our website, including our Start-up Guide for bladder cancer patient groups. We invite patient organisations, advocates and healthcare teams to visit our resources page to discover and make use of these materials in their work.

We invite healthcare professionals, nurses, patient advocates and support organisations to download, print and share the Portuguese version of “What is Bladder Cancer?” within their communities, both online and offline. It can be used in clinics, support groups, awareness events and advocacy campaigns to help people better understand bladder cancer and navigate their journey.

If you are interested in this resource in another language, or if you have suggestions to improve our factsheets, please contact us at info@worldbladdercancer.org.
