Associazione PaLiNUro Annual Congress 2025: A day of learning and collaboration
The Associazione PaLiNUro held its Annual Congress on November 15, 2025 in Milan, Italy, which the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition (WBCPC) had the opportunity to attend in person.
The programme brought together patients, patient advocates, healthcare professionals and experts to exchange the latest knowledge in bladder cancer care. Edoardo Fiorini, President of Associazione PaLiNUro, opened the Congress with an insightful overview of the future direction of the organisation. The day continued with powerful patient testimonies that highlighted the lived experience of bladder cancer and the importance of patient centred approaches in shaping better care pathways.
Clinical specialists shared updates on current research and emerging treatment options. These sessions offered valuable learning to ensure that patients and advocates remain informed about new developments within the field. The exchange of scientific progress and practical patient experience created an environment focused on improving outcomes and strengthening support for those affected by bladder cancer.
Our presence at the Congress also provided an important opportunity to deepen our engagement with the Italian bladder cancer community. Through conversations with advocates, clinicians and patients, we gained a richer understanding of the national context and the priorities that guide PaLiNUro’s work. These discussions will help us continue to strengthen our international collaboration by bringing Italian insights and experiences to the broader network of WBCPC members. The sense of shared purpose throughout the event reaffirmed the value of working together across borders to improve bladder cancer care globally.
