GLOBOCAN 2020: Bladder cancer 10th most commonly diagnosed worldwide

The International Agency for Research on Cancer estimates that 573,278 people will be diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2020 around the world, placing bladder cancer as the 10th most commonly diagnosed cancer in the world.

The ongoing changes in population structure, the environments in which people live, and the extent to which health systems are capable of delivering effective cancer control interventions will together drive the scale and profile of cancer incidence, mortality, and prevalence that will emerge over the next decades.

Today marks the re-launch of WBCPC’s newly developed website. The hope for this website is to serve as a tool for the global bladder cancer patient community, offering support and resources, and providing bladder cancer patient community with the information and guidance that they need.

A robust website is a key to providing support to an international community of people affected by bladder cancer. We trust it will allow us to present substantive information on bladder cancer issues, solutions and experiences; and help us build international partnerships and support the growth of our bladder cancer patient community worldwide.
