Lori Cirefice is on the Board of Directors of the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition and is the President of a French Patient Organisation, Cancer Vessie France. Her husband was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2013, and prior to this Lori had never heard of the disease. In her search for resources, she realised that there was no peer support organisation in France, so she reached out to Fight Bladder Cancer UK for information. In 2017, a patient support organisation formed in France, called Association Cancer Vessie France. She participates in all the activities, including bladder cancer awareness month and peer-to-peer support. Her interest areas include: HTA in France, patient information, and guidelines review, among others.
