Sara Badreh Wirström joined the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition (WBCPC) in 2026 as Project Manager for the BCLEAR project. She is the founder and CEO of BW Consultancy AB and brings extensive experience in health policy, advocacy and multi-stakeholder project management. Sara holds a Master’s degree in Molecular Life Sciences and spent three years at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, where she worked as a researcher in the field of immunology.
Alongside her scientific background, Sara’s lived experience as a patient has strongly shaped her long-standing commitment to patient advocacy. She has been actively involved in policy development and advocacy for more than 16 years, managing large, complex projects across European organisations and initiatives. Her combined perspective as both a scientist and a patient allows her to bridge research, policy and patient experience effectively. In addition to her professional work, Sara has served as a board member of several patient organisations at both national and European levels.
