This week, our Executive Director Alex Filicevas is in Portugal for the launch of ECHoS Phase 2, a European project building a network of cancer mission hubs across the continent.

This year marks fifty years since BCG was first used to treat bladder cancer. We remember Professor Andrew Bruce, one of the three authors behind that study, who has died at the age of 101.

The World Bladder Cancer Patient Forum 2026 is just around the corner and there is still time to join us in Hong Kong this September. The Forum is the only global gathering led by and for the bladder cancer patient community, bringing two days of connection, learning and collaboration. 

This May, we closed three years of “Feeling Unsure? Get Checked.”, a campaign that reached more than 41 million people in over 60 countries. Explore our final campaign report and the movement we built together.

At the annual BCLEAR consortium meeting in Budapest, we shared progress on our awareness and education work and looked ahead to the project’s next steps with partners from across Europe.
